All proceeds from this ride go to benefit the Brain Injury Society of Toronto (BIST). BIST

Longest Ride of the Year
We do the Longest Ride of the Year on the summer solstice weekend. Every year, a group of our most avid riders come up with new ways to challenge themselves. There’s typically a country start option for those who would rather skip riding to and from the starting point in Etobicoke.

We take advantage of Canada Day to do a longer ride out to the country, with
destinations that have included Dundas, Erin, Schomberg and Belfountain.

Tour d’ECC
Community Support and just a whole lotta fun!
View event details →
The Tour d’ECC is all about having fun on our bikes while supporting a great cause.
There will be social activities on our regular club rides such as post-ride BBQs, stops at
Tom’s Dairy Freeze and a pub night. A few members have graciously hosted coffee
after the 6:00 rides. There are also special rides such as the Longest Ride of the Year
(since 2014) and perhaps a weekend afternoon Beer? ride.
While not required, we encourage our members to make a donation to the Dorothy Ley
Hospice. The Hospice helped Colin Jarvis, a standout ECC ride captain, through his
cancer journey – and ECC’s support of the Hospice is in tribute to him.

Explorer of the Century
Twenty-five or forty laps of Explorer anyone? Or whatever you fancy!

Twenty-five or forty laps of Explorer anyone (around a 4-kilometer loop)?
It sounds ridiculous. It is ridiculous. But awesome. And fun. And a wild way to push
yourself. A way to ride with folks you don’t often ride with. A chance for many folks to
set incredible Personal Records for speed and distance. And to have some laughs with
friends.

Earning Turkey
Get ready to burn off some turkey and stuffing.
View event details →
Started in 2014 as a laugh about riding enough to offset the calories to be consumed
later that day during Thanksgiving dinner, this ride has turned into a season highlight!
This route is a terrific challenge for riders of all abilities. Usually we split into a couple of
groups based on pace. The route looks simple but takes a toll on the legs and lungs for
even the most seasoned riders.

Cemetery Side roads
Our Halloween ride. Costumes optional.
View event details →
Join Jay for the spookiest ride of the year on a Sunday near Halloween. This is a fun
ride that will make brief stops at some old cemeteries and other spooky places in the
area.
Costumes optional, clothing required. It’s a super social relaxed ride for fun and laughs.

Various Charity Rides
Giving back is important to our members. In addition to the charity rides mentioned
above, our members have organized teams to participate in the Bike with Baycrest to
Defeat Dementia, Ride to Conquer Cancer, Pedaling for Parkinson’s Spinning Wheels
Tour, Ride for St. Joe’s and Healing Cycle.
For many years, members of our club organized one of the top fundraising teams for
Tour for Kids. The Tour supported summer camps for children with cancer.
